Eisteddfod Judo Technical Development Event.

This event offers Judoka the opportunity to progress personal Judo Technical Development supported by numerous Welsh Senior Examiners, Kata Examiners, Kata & Technical Coaches. 

This Event features, the following optional assessment opportunities;

(1) practice & present Kime no Kata to achieve the appropriate BJA proficiency Certificate

(2) practice & present Nage no Kata to achieve the appropriate BJA proficiency Certificate. A Nage no Kata certificate is crucial in the support of Dan Grade Technical Examination to 1st Dan and above.

(3) Dan Grade Theory Examination. Following the 2026 BJA implementation of the "Kodokan 100" Dan Grade examination, the Welsh Senior Examiners Team will offer routine opportunities to attempt the Dan Grade Theory Examinations at these Technical Development Events. Candidates should be aware that the syllabus requires preparation from the candidate before attempting the assessment. Advice and support is available from any of the Senior Examiners team.
